The truth is, Private Eye PR Agency is run by the founder of one of the largest and most awarded optical magazines in the world, which has been receiving press releases from press agencies for decades.

Now, magazines are in need of your content, just to keep them on-trend, attach their identity to the “coolest” brands, or just give them fresh content to make Google push their website up in the ranks. But when your brand isn’t one of their well-paying customers, they will not put much effort into publishing a press release that will take them hours to make “publishable”.

And while sitting on the chair of the editor, TEF founder Maarten Weidema has received so many cringing articles, with text that cannot be copied, or translated by Google, and images that cannot easily be published, that he decided that “enough was enough” and that the passion that he has for true independent eyewear design should be enough to finally make a statement, and help out these unique brands to give them the exposure they deserve!

Maarten retired from designing eyewear years ago, and now puts all his energy into promoting independent eyewear design, but he just cannot stop there. Even while his own platform reaches out to 300.000 optical retailers worldwide, he wants all optical magazines to get on board in empowering amazing designs to all optical retailers in the world.
